Divisibility Rule Poetry

Divisibility rules, or divisibility tests, have a wide range of applications in mathematics (finding factors, determining if a number is prime or composite, simplifying fractions, probability, etc.), but are often underemphasized in the classroom or not explored in enough detail for students to retain and use them as they progress through higher math classes. This product, which makes a great beginning of the year activity, contains fun and student-friendly poetry for divisibility rules (tests) for 1,2,3,4,5,6,9, and 10, step-by-step instructions for how to implement this poetry in your classroom, and a note-taking worksheet (and a key) that helps the students master and apply the poetry.
