# Solving and Graphing Inequalities - Foldable and Scavenger Hunt

This FREE resource includes an INEQUALITY FOLDABLE and SCAVENGER HUNT. Students can use the foldable as a reference as they self-check on the sixteen question scavenger hunt.

The foldable provides various examples of inequalities graphed on a number line. There are examples of less than, greater than, less than or equal to and greater than or equal to inequalities. On the inside of the foldable, students can practice one of each type of inequality problem. The bottom portion of the foldable includes one and two step inequalities.

Print the foldable on both sides (along the long edge). Trim the outer rectangle and have students glue it into their notebooks.

The scavenger hunt has students practice two-step inequality problems involving all four operations. Students are asked to solve and graph an inequality and then search around the room for the answer to the problem. Once they find it, they complete the next problem listed on the card. An answer document and key are included.

# FREE Fractions Bump

This fractions Bump freebie will help your students master representing fractions using models and number lines. The only materials needed are two regular dice and 10 markers in one color and 10 in another color. I like using unifix cubes since they can be “locked,” but any other type of marker also works well.

On the direction sheet, students will find a fraction based on their dice roll. Then they must find the corresponding fraction model or fraction on a number line on the game mat and cover it with their marker. Your students will love trying to “Bump” each other off the game mat!

# Perimeter PowerPoint - Common Core 3.MD.8

This is a 20 slide PowerPoint file. (.pptx)

There are 10 slides with 1 question each followed by 10 slides with the answers.

No copies to make! Students can just number a paper from 1-10 to record answers as they work on a computer with a partner. You can remove the answer slides & collect their work, or leave them in and have students self-correct.

This addresses 3rd grade standard:

Common Core 3.MD.8

Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters.

I see this as one of many review stations that students would visit in a comprehensive test prep frenzy. (hopefully your district doesn't go nuts like mine does!) It could also be viewed as a whole class with a projector.
