Expressions and Equations - Find Someone Who Activity
This engaging activity has students discussing and summarizing the 7.EE.1 learning targets. Students will circulate throughout the room talking to nine different classmates. Students will find someone who can do or explain what is asked for in the box (one person per box). The student will ask the person to initial one box and to describe the answer to the problem. The other student will summarize and write what was explained. This activity was a good review before our 7.EE.1 assessment. Students were active and moving throughout the classroom in order to complete the assignment. Students discuss the distributive property, terms, like terms, coefficients, and constants. Students also describe how to simplify expressions.
