Number Cross-out: Subtraction

Theres also an extra activity at the bottom of each page. Students write two subtraction sentences that have their mystery number as the answer. Students may use counters, pictures, or their knowledge of subtraction facts to come up with their responses. For an extra challenge, let students try including two 2-digit numbers in some of their number sentences. For example, if the mystery number is 5, students could write subtraction sentences such as 9 – 4 = 5, 15 – 10 = 5, or 25 – 20 = 5.
