Food Spotting! A food-neutral spot and find.

Food Spotting! A food-neutral spot and find.
This food-neutral search and find is a simple and FUN way to increase food exposure in the classroom without needing to teach about food.

It can be used in combination with health teaching, or as a completely separate activity!

What do we mean by food neutral? It means exposing kids to all kinds of food without adding judgement or value to food. Neutral food exposure does wonders for increasing food acceptance.

Food Neutral teaching tips:

- Instead of asking "Is that healthy or not healthy?" try, " Do you know what the name of that food is?", "Is that something you have eaten before?" "Do you like it?".

- avoid adding value or judgement onto foods as much as possible including "sometimes food, junk food, bad food, treat food" etc.

- Food is food.
