MATRICES - Solving Systems Using Matrices (Algebra 2)
This sample lesson is the 4th lesson of my soon-to-be-completed Matrices Unit (Unit 3B) for Algebra 2. The TUTORIAL VIDEO to accompany the lesson can be found on my YouTube Channel - Mandys Math World under the Algebra 2 Playlists section.
This lesson introduces the matrix equation and encourages students to solve a 2-variable matrix equation by hand. The 3-variable matrix incorporates use of the graphing calculator, and the online tutorial video includes the calculator process.
Supplement this unit with these helpful TI-84 Matrices Calculator Guides (another FREEBIE) for students to reference.
At the current time, I do not have Unit 3A Solving Systems of Equations for Algebra 2 (expected to be completed summer of 2021); however, my Algebra 1 Systems of Equations and Inequalities Unit is great to use in the on-level Algebra 2 classroom! I find students often need to go over all methods to solve again!
