Area & Perimeter - Create a Dog Yard

A quick little activity that asks students to use grid paper to create a yard for the dog. There are four items that they must place in the yard and draw a fence around. Then they use the grid squares to calculate the yard's area and perimeter. There is a follow-up question page, a sample and an area & perimeter practice page.
