# Linear Equations Cut and Paste Activity

This is a cut-and-paste activity in which students are given a worksheet with graphs, and another worksheet with linear equations written in standard form. Students must figure out the equation of the graph by determining its slope and y-intercept. Because all the equations are given in standard form, they must determine which is equivalent to their slope-intercept form equation. There are four equations for each graph, but only one is correct. They paste this equation onto the graphs worksheet. There are 12 graphs in total. # Measurement

Here are 16 fun measurement cards to use with your students. Each card requires students to make an estimate before measuring. Students will need a ruler to complete these cards. A yardstick and tape measure would also be helpful. Students can work in standard and/or metric measurements. A student answer sheet is included.

In addition, there are three "Now try this:" cards. Card 1 asks students to use two different units of measurement for the same object and explain the results (you may need to guide students toward larger objects). Card 2 asks students to compare measurements of two objects and find the difference. Card 3 is a graphing activity for advanced learners who will enjoy an the extra challenge.
